Abstract:
This article, together with the two companion papers, offers a general methodology for modeling thermodynamical phenomena using true, rather than pseudo-, bond graphs. This paper deals in particular with the difficult problem of modeling mass flows in a thermodynamic sense, i.e. with the formulation of mathematical models of convective flows. No quasi-stationary or flow-equilibrium assumptions were made, such that the models generated using the proposed methodology would be kept as general as possible.
